Verify Accounts
To verify something is to give it a green check for the first time. A green check needs a two-way binding: your signed page says “this is mine”, and the other side says it back. A one-way claim is shown as Declared, never with a green check.
What you can verify today
| What | Where the check shows | How |
|---|---|---|
name@creds.id | On your public page, for every visitor | You pick a name during setup. The app publishes and verifies it for you. |
| Your website | In your app, next to the link | You add a small proof to your website. |
Links without a check
Any other link you add appears on your page as an ordinary link, with the platform’s icon where creds knows it, and no check. This includes links to social accounts.
Attestations are different
The app can also create attestations from your passport. They are not account checks, and they don’t appear on your public page. You show them in person instead. See Passport Attestations.
When a check lapses
The app checks your own page again when you open the Page tab. If a check that used to pass now fails, the Page tab shows an alert that the check has lapsed.
